DBoy - Ali Falah

His passion and motivation, as well as being exposed to both Western and Middle-Eastern cultures has fabricated DBoy (Ali Falah) into a prominent figure in the hip hop scene of Bahrain.

Writing was never a spirited attribute amongst family, yet DBoy showed from a young age, signs of being blessed with the ability to portray emotions, experiences and beliefs through his lyrics and music.

In 2005, DBoy ventured into the world of music production, and with time perfected his style and became proficient at it. Today, his name is synonomous with the Bahraini hiphop scene, and besides already releasing 2 CD's unofficially, he has performed live on the island and is even set to perform in the UK this summer.

this guy is a joke...

seriously, him and moneymar are full of shit...their songs are about growing up poor but they both went to the most expensive school in the country..

complete shit

doesn't matter guys; whether you like his style or not, he's still doin' somethin. and doing that in a country where hardly anyone gets support for this sorta thing, in my opinion, deserves mad respect.

This guy is the biggest joke in bahrain. Talent? whats he doing on this site, he has no talent at all. Cant rap to save his life, and his lyrics are just full of crap, such as growing up poor. The guy grew up going to ST CHRIS!. DBOY and these igrind clowns are just gangsta wannabes wasting playtime on the airwaves. You may be trying to get your voice heard but my advise quit this crap and get a real job, and give people with real talent to shine. just my 2 cents...

to whoever posted above me.. ive heard almost all of DBoys songs and i've never heard him say anything about being poor. would u be able to post some lyrics up here where he's mentioned that? .. and as for him going to St Chris.. does that automaticly mean that u aint got problems cuz u went to one one of the most expensive schools in the country?...i think ur just plain hating..

LOL okay so im another anonymous on this page.. Dboy seriously cannot rap. Okayy I could understand that he's trying etc. etc.. but trying is one thing and self-proclaiming you're the best in the middle east is another. "#1 Arab Rapper" WHO gave him that title? and how can one person dress like normally for the majority of his life and then all of a sudden switch to "rapper clothes" and rap about chains another minute.. hmm:S

You're either talented or you're not, anyone could try and read lyrics out loud. Check out his videos on youtube, he obviously isn't getting any great remarks. My respect goes out to Hotline who can rap in English AND Arabic and can pull it off well and will probably make it somewhere but this guy, is not only wasting his own time but also slowing down Hotline in his climbing of the ladder.

Whats wrong with St Chris?? It's good.

Dont be hatein D-Boy Just coz he went a good skool why you guys jelouis of him coz u wont have the gutts to rap bunch of assholes leave tha guy alone

It doesn't matter where he has received his education or what he has done in his past existence. What matters is what is being done here & now, and if he'll representing Bahrain the day he blows up.
The boy's following the market stream, and that's smart. Which is quite the opposite to what I do with all the genres I'm involved in, doesn't mean I'm stupid either, right?

I think that we need more young intellectuals in the scene, and Ali Falah seems to be one of those young 'uns. With time & experience you will witness him grow.

About his lyrics and the clothes. I don't think that he's any different from the other Bahraini rappers/lyricists 'cuz they all talk bigger than themselves and find themselves comfy in baggy clothes. But it's all to do with the music, so at least that's cool.

I'm just trying to bridge the gap left by the so called "Hip-Hop community" in Bahrain, and hopefully I will get the chance to represent Manama to all whom do not recognize, the island's Capital, with fellow rappers & producers in the future.

And D-Boy, you better come fresh & clean !

You guys aren't understanding the CONCEPT.

Fine, try as hard as you want but don't be so contradicting. How can you rap about being poor and put yourself down when you go to an expensive school like St. Chris? No One's jealous here, I think we've all been to privates.

DBOY IS NOT THE NUMBER ONE ARAB RAPPER. He can try, but he's not number One and so he shouldn't self-proclaim especially when his voice is so terrible! I don't know the guy but I've lived in the US my whole life, and I've just come to know him and his stuff and this is a personal REVIEW which all artists have to acknowledge. You're either liked or not liked and the MAJORITY does not like him so why call yourself number one eh?

Discal.. no offense to you bruv, your stuff is off the chain! and you've got talent and the reason I respect you and all the other talents in Bahrain is because you guys are trying to get to the top by working hard, not pick up a mic and say "hey i'm number one".

It's like a student saying "I'm a professor, I'm the smartest, I can teach and get a Nobel Prize" whereas his teachers think he SUCKS terribly, everyone around him (youtube etc) knows that he sucks! so quit baby

Well considering the fact that I own a coupla of magazines and media ventures I get most of you Meniem wannabe jokers on my doorstep every other month askin for interviews and articles etc.
I've seen everything from rockers, to rappers, to vilonists and pianists.
These geeks that come in are usually very entertaining with the kind of lingo they blurt out...things like Dawg! Nigga! etc so I have a bit of fun with them and hear them out...partly cuz im having a boring day and partly cuz it provides great entertainment for me and the gang later in the evening.
One such time, this D Boy walked in to the office and I had a brief chat with him...after which he offered me one of his CDs to listen to.
I chucked it to one side and forgot about it for a week until it surfaced in front of me again while i was tryin to dig something out. I played it and...let's just say...i still play it my car every now and then to this day. Made three copies for friends all in their late thirties and we specially loved two of his tracks. His work really is good.
I got to say the kid has talent, and a sensible head. I dont see him goin "yo wassup?" and "nigga" and "dawg" in every sentence during meetings and everyday conversation. He is really not a pretender...more of an analyst you could say!
I have not seen him perform...but from what i have heard(from his CD) the guys got a great ear for tunes and an ability to effectively use words for lyrics.
My advice to him was, dude focus more on production like Timbaland or Justin...
Overall he is mature for his age and is focused, compared every other joker whos walked into my office askin for a cover page, which means he's got the tools. Too bad then that Bahrain or the Gulf do not have an industry for incubating such talent and helping them metamorphosize into something real.
D Boy if I were you, keep up with the good work and see where it takes you...at the end of the day if you don't go platinum or gold with your music, you will still have the pleasure of knowing that there are people out there who appreciate your music and hear it every day maybe on their way to work or simply cruising in the car.

To Mr. Magazine-owning Anonymous person: I too own several publications in the country. But I don't get jokers that walk into my office and offer me randomness. Maybe its due to the fact that I dont have dirty Indian blood flowing through my 8 foot long veins... and yet claim to be Bahraini...(and you thought you were anonymous)...Regardless, the fact that you listen to Dboy in your car everyday either tells me that you know nothing about music... or just know nothing at all. I'd give you more respect if you logged on here and said that Dboy is your friend and you back him up, but by pretending to be a random person like this.. lets me further know that deep down in your heart... ur the same quality as shit.
No bother though, lets stick to the bigger (metaphorically ofcourse) issue at hand: Dboy... I guess keep doing what your doing... its entertaining to watch you struggle...I hope you make it someday :)

Since the beggining of mankind, people have gathered together entertaining themselves by different means. Some dance, some sing and some rap. However that being said Dboy is not entertaining, in fact he instills boredom at such high doses that in order to remain consious a double expresso and a redbull is needed. To put it plainly this guy S.U.C.K.S, even friggin hannah montana can rap better than this wannabe.

Wait from what i heard this guy raps about being from the ghetto and such..what an idiot. don't listen to them. Pfft. What do they know about Middle Eastern hip hop & the movement? In fact, what do they know about music?
All of you haters: I don't get it. If you don't find local talent, you whine & go on and on about how we don't have any talent. Yet, the fact that you trash a local musician that's trying to do something, only proves one thing. You wouldn't be able to recognize talent if it hits you in the face!! At least be decent and give constructive criticism instead of throwing out words that are bigger than you (:
You say he's a joke? Take a look at yourselves. Look around. We DO have lots of talent in this country, but this is exactly the kind of attitude that keeps them hiding. Try supporting & accepting new ideas for a change. Oh, and no one is a wannabe here. Hip hop is a worldwide language now, & everyone can relate to it. Every artists sings/raps about different things that are usually from personal experiences. So who are you to judge whether his lyrics is crap or not? I'd like to see you write lyrics half as good as his.

OMG OMG OMG

I am so sure is bunch of people that keep doing this who have no Jobs and claim to be rappers that cannot rap or even speak English with that their heavy baHrain accents.
Dboy-- Please do not listen to these WANKER TWATS. They have no sense of time coz if they do, they will be composing some music than posting comments here. I can bet u that all these hater comments r from 7 people max from bahrain and you all lanky people know yourselves stupid idiots. At least Dboy went to school, you lot just filled St. chris with stupid blue fancy show off cars and red toyota shit!! Now who knows who losers :p Get a life you slow as fuckers...

Heads up Dboy and walk tall always! Peace bro..
